Getting outdoors after suffering an injury can be a great uplifting experience on the mind and body. There is just something about breathing in fresh air that feels good. While also providing a way to make the days seem more normal knee walkers can go many amazing places. There are a wide variety of models that suit the needs of anyone. From doing chores around the house to enjoying sports and activities outdoors the amount of happiness knee walkers bring are endless. We decided to put together a list of the 5 outdoor knee scooter activities that some of our customers have done.
Number 5 - Visiting A Winery
Everything gets better with age and no statement is more true than a nice glass of aged wine. Number 4 - Visiting A Theme Park
Using a knee walker at a theme park is a great experience Makaila from Colchester, Connecticut recently found out that navigating Disney was easy. Taking in the sights and sounds of the most magical destination on the planet Makaila certainly looks like she enjoyed her time! “Taken at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World. However, there are still an endless amount of possibilities to enjoy a vacation. As we learned from Sarah from Lago Vista, Texas “Here I am enjoying a Blue Lemonade at Rum Point on Grand Cayman Island, B.W.I. Although unable to Scuba dive, snorkel or swim on the trip, I was just happy to be able to be there. Thanks to my Swivelmate, I was able to really enjoy myself by relaxing on the island, Cayman style.”
Among the many benefits of the model Sarah was alluding too was its amazing maneuverability. She also said that “Without it, I would not have been able to go because I still was unable to walk or use my arm. With the knee walker, I was even able to move around the condo by myself. I cannot stress enough how much it helped me” We are super happy that Sarah was able to enjoy the vacation fully. The beauty and simplicity of enjoying such a luxury is the reason taking a vacation comes in at number 3.
Number 2 - Attending A Concert
There are so many benefits that music can have on the soul. From grooving to your favorite hits to singing along it can be a tremendously uplifting experience. Music has so many genres which is beneficial to those who have different tastes in music. You can clearly see how happy Robert there is nothing like an outdoor concert to get the spirits up. Spending time with friends and family can also have tremendous impacts on mental health with someone who is trying to go through an injury. The benefits to keeping mobile on a knee walkers are so much better than other alternatives. You simply have more freedom. Using the hands is an important part of any person’s day to day activities and we think that simply getting outdoors and having a little time to enjoy something as simple as a concert is a great reason this one slots in at number two
Number 1 - Hiking Abroad
By traveling to different countries, the experiences all differ. Traveling abroad lets a person see sights they never could have imagined. Lisa was able to experience this great mountain range on an Orthomate All-Terrain Knee Scooter. As she said it was a lifesaver and allowed her the freedom to traverse over the highly unstable ground of cobblestone and dirt roads. It truly looks like the experience of a lifetime and it makes our list as the number 1 outdoor knee scooter activity.
